Being an entrepreneur is apparently not an easy career. Some may have golden hands that once they start to invest on something they can make that business profitable in no time. The fact is they’re really few and it took them a lot of guts to achieve where they are. Now, don’t pret if you don’t have business-minded parents or you are not born with a silver spoon in mouth. Being a businessman is arguably not hereditary, it’s something you can learn and develop. What are the simple signs that you can be a thriving businessman?
Courageous. Yes being creative, passionate, and smart are good traits to hone, but you can’t turn from artist to businessman if you don’t go out of your comfort zone. Courageous people are self-starter that they work on their ideas with or without the support and even they’re clueless what’s going to happen. “Calculated risk” is perhaps your favorite term.
Goal-Oriented. All people have dreams in their minds, but not all have active genes to make those aspirations become reality. Though possibly you’re still studying or working, you are methodical enough to connect and create short-term goals that will help you to reach your ultimate dream.
Reasonable. There’s boundary between practical and idealistic. For reasonable people like you, citing when to combine these two opposing ideals or which one suits best for a given situation is easy. You don’t act on something unless you see the why, how and what points to consider.
Collaborative. Introvert or extrovert, you don’t have problems working with diverse types of people. You understand that even you can do something you may still need to become a team player, leader cooperative, and consultant.
Competitive. To be competent is one, but eyeing to be the best in your field is your next nature. You don’t settle for one of those because you want to be the big shot. Possibly, you like to prove your worth to the extent that it’s okay for you to start from scratch knowing you can do more and great things ahead from the others.
