Trade & Travel Journal | Copperstone Cares Brings Hope and Encouragement to Youth at Parañaque’s Bahay Pag-Asa
PARAÑAQUE CITY, Philippines — Corporate social responsibility extends beyond charitable donations—it is about creating meaningful opportunities for people and communities to thrive. Guided by this belief, Copperstone Lending Inc., through its Copperstone Cares initiative, recently joined a collaborative outreach program benefiting the young residents of Bahay Pag-Asa Juvenile Center in Parañaque City.
The outreach, held on July 18, served more than 50 children and youth through the distribution of freshly prepared meals and personal hygiene kits while providing an environment where participants could experience encouragement, fellowship, and positive life lessons.
The activity was spearheaded by Live Christ Share Christ (LCSC) in partnership with 365 Saints Educational Mission, Inc., Negosentro Media, and the Supremus Cavaliers Eagles Club under the International Fraternal Order of Eagles – Philippine Eagles Pro Patria (IFOE). The initiative was conducted with the support of Bahay Pag-Asa Head Mr. Alex Guian, with Copperstone Cares serving as one of the key sponsors that helped provide essential supplies for the beneficiaries.
While the meals and hygiene kits addressed immediate needs, organizers emphasized that the program’s greater purpose was to inspire hope and encourage positive life choices among the residents. Volunteers from the LCSC Parañaque City Chapter, led by couple missionaries Bro. Rodel Sope and Sis. Nilda Sope, facilitated a Values Formation and Moral Upliftment Session that encouraged participants to strengthen their character, take responsibility for their future, and believe that every individual deserves an opportunity to begin again.
Supporting the outreach were leaders and members of IFOE Philippine Eagles Pro Patria, headed by International President Kuya Sajid Salih, accompanied by International Event Director Ate Jane Salih. They were joined by Kuya Rogelio Laforteza, Kuya Patrick John Bito-on, Ate Maylyn Cabrera, Kuya Milson Aoanan, and Ate Crisadil Gabion, who worked alongside volunteers in organizing the meal distribution and coordinating the day’s activities.
According to Homer Nievera, Chairman of 365 Saints Educational Mission, Inc. and Publisher of the Negosentro Media Group, the outreach represents the beginning of a broader commitment to serving communities through collaborative volunteerism.
“This initiative is the first of many outreach activities we hope to undertake together with our partner organizations. Our goal is to remind these young people that their past does not define their future, and that with guidance, compassion, and faith, they can become productive members of society.”
